The Indy 500 RFP Response - The strategy that helped win a $5 million digital transformation project

Presales Proposal Owner
No one gave us a chance, even within my org, when we came across a digital transformation RFP from a trucking and transportation company. The incumbent was a billion dollar org with more projects larger than my org. I knew we had to take it up a notch and stand out if we were even to be considered. I put together a proposal comparing our solution with Indy 500 which resonated well with the prospect team and they decided to award the contract to us the same day we did the presentation which was worth $5 million. This is despite the fact that that our quote was on the higher side than our competition.

Legacy Modernization for a Property Management Company sprinkled with a theme of 'Ship of Theseus'

Presales Proposal Owner
A major enterprise faced a dilemma: patch up their aging, clunky system or rebuild from scratch. Their platform was slow, outdated, and lacked real-time data sync, frustrating business teams.
To make our case, I used the Ship of Theseus analogy—modernizing piece by piece while preserving its essence. This resonated deeply, turning business leaders into active champions for our solution.

Challenge: Their system was like an old ship—reliable but barely holding together. Fix or rebuild?
Solution: I led the solutioning process, advocating for a full rebuild without disrupting operations by:
- Breaking down the monolith into scalable, event-driven microservices.
- Enabling real-time data sync to eliminate manual bottlenecks.
- Automating workflows for faster, more efficient decision-making.
- Revamping UI/UX for a modern, seamless user experience.

My Role:
-
Simplified technical complexity into a clear, compelling business case.
-
Used the Ship of Theseus analogy to align stakeholders on modernization.
-
Secured buy-in from business leaders, making them advocates for the rebuild.
Impact: The proposal wasn’t just about tech—it was about agility, speed, and smarter operations. The client didn’t just approve the plan; they championed it.

Founder & Product Guy
It was a personal challenge to analyze stocks and pick the right ones that fit my strategy. Frustrated with the lack of user-friendly, succinct platforms, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I built an MVP to solve my problem, and it turned out I wasn't alone—beginners loved it. The site quickly grew to 40,000 users, all excited about its simplicity. Now, I’ve got a solid team taking it to the next level (https://stockbruh.com). This remains my passion project, and I’m thrilled to keep pushing it forward.

AFTA 4.0
Practice Head/Product Owner - Digital Assurance

Aspire Systems
Our goal was simple: to make our test automation solution stand out, even against billion-dollar consulting giants like Accenture, Capgemini, IBM, and Cognizant. As the product owner, I brainstormed features that would push our framework beyond just functional testing—it needed to handle non-functional testing too. I took a close look at our entire testing process and automated everything I could. From test authoring and automation to performance testing, API testing, security testing, and test result analysis, all the way through to CI/CD integration, we built a framework that was truly multi-layered. The results were incredible—we saw over a 60% increase in conversions. The icing on the cake? Our solution took home the top award at the European Software Testing Conference, even against those industry giants.
The 15-day Test Program That Helped Stabilize A Life Insurance Consumer Web App
Program Manager
---------------------------
Aspire Systems
Problem Statement:
-
High ‘Exit Rate’ for test users in the test environments due to Intermittent, non-reproducible pop-ups throughout the portal
-
Being a consumer web portal, compatibility testing and performance baselining needed to be done
-
Missed timelines for Go-Live of the Life Insurance ‘Quote to Application Portal’

Solution:
-
GLOBAL TEAM across 3 countries and 5 time-zones and increased the available time from 15 days to 45 days by working ACROSS TIMEZONES
-
Implemented pair-wise testing and feature isolation to identify and test 20% of the application that caused 80% of the issues; 4000 data combinations were tested with only 275 scenarios.
-
Used AFTA 3.0 and automated end to end workflows that were used to run regression and compatibility tests; Automation covered 30% of the tests.
-
Ran the tests on on-demand cloud and used machine learning based result analysis
-
Ensured a low quality product being launched to users with over 15% failure rate.
CRAFT
Programmer Analyst

Cognizant
It was 2004 and test automation frameworks were far and few. I was lucky to be a part of a visionary leader who thought about building a reusable test automation framework for our Insurance practice. I was responsible for building the framework along with my team and completely owned the ideation, design and development of the agent that runs on lab machines. The agent listened to incoming test run request, invoked the test automation software, ran the test, and sent back the test results to a common DB. This was a game changer in the industry and enabled unattendted testing that cut down human intervention and effort by over 80%. Almost all fortune 500 companies have used CRAFT to automate their enterprise applications. The framework was in use for more than 20 years and just recently it was made open source.
